*I mean really*

This isn't exactly how I pictured I'd start my blog post today.
but due to the fact I stumbled upon a place that shall remain nameless...
a place that is rude, hurtful and idiotic (in my opinion)
a place that cowards feel the need to attack people...
I call them cowards because they post "anonymously"
because of their lack of being happy for someone when something good happens to them.

Well...I just have 2 things to say to you:
1)  I choose not to accept your unsolicited criticism. It is YOURS to keep.
2)  Last time I looked, this was MY blog to post what I wanted, when I wanted, how I wanted.
if you have a problem with it, please....hit the "x" and just don't visit me again.

now that that's behind me...let me post what i originally intended to:
Pinterest is one of my FAVORITE sites.
I love to go there and get inspiration. Be it in art form, words, photographs...
it all just screams inspiration!

Have you been there? GO! Trust me...you'll thank me later.
One of my assignments for Glue Arts last week
was to get inspiration from Pinterest & create something that revolves around it:

here's what I chose:

(direct link to inspiration:  Pinterest)

and here is what I made:

to see what I used and how I created it, simply go to the
Glue Arts blog & read all about it. Check out all the other great
Pinterest inpsiration pieces from the Design Team!

and let me close with something I am HONORED to have been a part of:
this is the One Amazing Album section located in Scrapbook Trends for October 2011.
I can't believe how blessed I am to have my album there.
Thank you Scrapbook Trends & Paige for asking me!

Thank you SO much for your sweet words about my Oct. cover for ST!

I don't know what's going on ( and I don't need to) just wanted to say I'm sorry for whatever is going on. My grandma always told me, that the reason people take the time to talk bad about someone/something is just flat out because they are jealous and because they are unhappy in their lives and it makes them feel good to talk bad about others. I never really understood it, and I try very hard to not be disrespectful like that...its like I tell my girls all the time, the golden rule, treat others how you want to be treated. I'm sorry for whatever is going on...I love visiting your blog and seeing your beautiful creations...and while I don't *know* you, I think you must be a sweetie...its very nice that you always reply to comments, not many do, and it means alot to me that you take the time out to do that. Keep your chin up lady! :) Sorry for the novel :/ lol

Listen, you are amazing and whatever is going on may be here today but they'll be on to someone else tomorrow! Forget them! You have some amazing things happening for you right...things that you deserve! You have way more people in your corner than are standing in the shadows talking about you....Love ya girl!

Leslie,

I don't really know what's going on, either. I think I'm naive in a lot of ways. LOL But I do want to tell you that I'm sorry for what you're going through. I hate it when stuff like this happens to good people like yourself. Gotta keep your head up! <3

Leslie dear, the smack blog serves a very specific need in this industry.
If you don't want people to have opinions of you, then you are free to not post your life on the internet for the world to see.
As, you have full right to say what you want on your personal blog, we also have a right to our views of what is presented via the smack blog.
Clearly, you acknowledging the fact there is a smack blog, means that you do care what others think of you.
If you don't want to be judged, then don't be on DT, in publications or on the internet in general. Ask yourself if you scrapbook for the memories or the glory of being recognized.
Also, ask yourself, if you ever see someone on tv that you don't agree with or have criticisms for them. The smack blog is not different that that.
hugs
Linda

I have NEVER heard that hate and discontent was a necessity in this world..... When did it become the norm to show negativity towards others? To bring someone down to make yourself feel better. To put someone who works hard for what they have achieved and make them feel bad for trying? Why don't you use your precious time more wisely and do something positive with your time. Did your mother not teach you, if you have nothing nice to say don't say anything at all? I feel that these smack blogs don't serve the purpose it was originally set out to do, a constructive and productive way to try and change things in the industry. All it has become is a slander fest that creates rude despicable people. Nothing gets changed this way. All you are doing is hurting someone and being a bully. If you have kids, would you like if they were being talked about at school or on Facebook? HELL NO! You would be the first to find out who was doing it and put a stop to it. I just ask why the negativity? I don't go and shred an actor/actress all over the internet if I don't like them. I walk away and move on to someone I do appreciate. Just a thought.....walk away and praise those you like and let be the ones you do not care for. This is just common rules of humanity and feel they need to be practiced more in this industry.

Best Regards
Jamie

"Linda."

-if that is even who you are.
I have no reason to defend why I scrap, who I scrap for, how I scrap, or even if I scrap.

This is my blog. I post what I want, when I want, how I want (as I stated in my post.) It's rude people who come to my blog
(for what reason, I'll never understand. If you don't like me or my blog, why read it?) and take the content, go gossip & spread ugly comments.

I'm done with this - I will not address it again, nor will I let such comments effect who I am as a person, a wife, a mother and a scrapbooker.
In fact...I think this makes me even a BETTER wife, mother & scrapbooker.

Good day to you.

pattyo said...

Good for you, Leslie! It's beyond me why anyone who doesn't like someone or something would continue to check them out. I always believe that when someone makes negative comments, it is because they aren't happy with theirself. Love your layout and that color combo! Congrats on the publication!

that turquoise lo is to DIE for!! I am totally scraplifting! And Leslie, you rock, and you have every right to share your achievements on your blog--you're work is something to be proud of, and I, for one, find it inspiring.

Linda, go back under the rock you crawled out from. you are not wanted here!

tracy said...

oh linda linda linda. bless your little heart. if you are such a big bad bitch, why are you still posting anon? huh? ugh. what a disguting person you are.

jenjock1 said...

'the smack blog serves a very specific need in this industry.' WHAT A JOKE. There is a NEED to tear people to shreds? There is a NEED to mock people you've never met? There is a NEED to spew jealousy and discontent?
I think you all NEED to get a life.

Ugh.

Sorry to use your blog to vent Leslie. But COME ON. I'm sorry you're going through this. And you're right, they are absolutely cowards. If they truly, genuinely wanted to change the face of this industry they would post CONSTRUCTIVE comments under their own names.

I love your take on the inspiration piece.
As to the rest , that place isn't worth your time. Haters are everywhere don't let their problems be yours.
Be happy and have fun with what you love
