Hi friends!
Happy Hump Day...

Today is the final Prima & Faber Castell wrap up on the Prima blog
& I thought I'd do the same on MY blog. Not to mention let you know

First up, let me share my layout I did that's over on the Prima blog today:

I'm sure I've used this pic before - it's a must...one of  my faves of my handsome husband

and myself!

Here's a little diddy about my layout:

I decided to get bold & have FUN with Faber-Castell goodies on this page.
I used the Gesso as a background – to tone my bright paper down just a little bit.
Then I used a Prima brick mask & colored between the “mortar” with gelato’s.
I also used the gelato’s to color my resist canvas flowers, then used the artist
pen to blend it all together for a fun watercolor, artsy effect.

Crime:  Laughing at ME.

Reason:  well...said master (or grand master in my case?) was playing tug the giraffe with her.
I took it from her. Her lips FROZE on her teeth like that. How'd I get her to stay?
I just put her giraffe on my head and said..."stay Lilly."
She minds SO well.
Oh man...she's laughing because I look ridiculous with her toy on my head.

*American Crafts May Projects*

Plus it's not JUST for beach pics. Trust me,
I'm so not a "theme" girl - but I TOTALLY
LOVE this line.

These are all shots from our trip down south to South Padre Island, Texas, back in 2008.
Took us a while to get down there from the DFW area. We soaked it ALL up.

*22 Years + a Prima scraplift*

Happy Friday, friends!

Not only is today Friday , but it's one unique Friday.
Today my sweet husband and I celebrate 22 years of marriage!

we've had our ups, downs, ins, outs and all things in between

and always bounce back right where we are...

like newlyweds!

My handsome, sweet, loving, wonderful, talented, motivational, (the list goes on!)
husband turns a year older today!

My last bit of news for the day...

the kids are HOME for the summer!

Savannah's off right this minute taking her last final at UNT
& yesterday we spent the ENTIRE day moving Shaypher back from Texas State.
My birds are all in their nest! For the summer anyway....
She'll be moving back to her college town in August,

He'll be moving back to his college town in August...
and the empty nest begins again.
::sigh:: but then again...::fist pump!::

A few months ago I shared some photo's of my new studio
my sweet, handsome & talented husband helped me put together.
I can't even say how much I love my space.
I'm here in this room right now, looking around
and taking it in how blessed I am.
To have this space to call my own,
to be able to create here, to use a gift God so freely gave me.

Recently I received an email from them asking ME to share MY studio
with THEM!
I was so excited I could barely sit still.
I love my room. I can't say it enough! I've never been asked to share it before
so to me...this was a dream!
