4) Things I would do if i was a millionaire:

-buy dream cars too....
-give to the needy

**She LOVES her flowers that shall never die**

Guess what? My sister is doing GREAT!!! She's just doing fabulous. She HURTS like the DICKENS(she said it only hurts when she blinks...well hello we blink ALOT! LOL) but she's just doing so good..she's a TROOPER! Listen to this! SHE went to her surgeon Wednesday (she had her surgery Tuesday) and he told her she got a DARNED good eye! (ok so he used a word I don't normally use, hee hee---he was just excited when he examined her eye again). See--a perfect eye is from an infant. They have 3000 cells. My sister's 40 year old donor gave her life...they gave her 2800 cells! Isn't that fantastic? SO excited..that means she'll have almost perfect vision. I do have a funny to share...the nurse came in and did a mini exam, made my sister look at the eye chart at the very first letter. Ok we ALL know what the first letter's never changed, right? My sister told her it was an "E". Nurse says..."GREAT job Melinda, you're doing SO GOOD!! You'll be seeing tiny letters in NO time!" Nurse walks out. My sister...hurting like all get out manages to squeak out a funny...
"Does she (she being the nurse) REALLY ( FAVE word, she even had the perfect infliction in her tone) think the letters change? I mean come on...that E has always been there, it always will be..wait, unless I turn my head this way (as she goes to the right) it's an "M". This way (as she goes to the left) it's an "W". Think they'll pass out if I say those?" I almost peed my pants...that made me laugh SO hard (but then again I'm always easily amused...HA!) Ok so anyways...on with my story.
My sister LOVES all things TEENincy (I totally know that's not a real word) so imagine my surprise when I found a teeny weeny watering can in the $ spot at Michael's. I immediately KNEW I was making her a flower arrangement. One that shall NEVER die. It will always remain pretty, colors bright and cheery. Sooo I went to town making her arrangement...this is how it turned out (now remember, this watering can is just a smidgen tinier than a tomato paste can):

(images to return soon..requested for submission!)

I am in LOVE with how this turned out. I'm going BACK to Michael's tomorrow to get myself one so I can make one for my desk. It was SO fun and EASY as all get out to make.
My sister, from her one eye that she CAN see out of, loved it. She said the colors make her so happy and she can't WAIT to put it on her desk :) That's all it took. I was a happy girl.

THEN...I showed her THIS:

"Is THAT for ME????" Oh yeah..I made that for HER. She told my mom - I think I mentioned in my last blog post - that she loved the one I made for my dad and wished she had one for herself. I did a little shopping, got all kinds of girly stuff together (with her fave colors) and came up with a girlified heart arrangement for her. She was so giddy! (at first I thought it was her pain pills making her giddy, but she reassured me - while they make her feel better - it's the hearts that made her so happy...
I was so glad I could do that for her. She deserves it. She's been through alot this week. She's recovering nicely. She's going to be a-ok once her full vision comes in her eye and her body accepts the donor tissue and gives her her eyesight back.
Thank you for taking a peek at my blog today,
Don't forget, I LOVE all the hi's...leave me one, or two, or three if you so choose! (LOL)
Have a wonderful weekend,

**I just want to say THANK YOU & A Few Creations**

Thank you to all of you who prayed and thought sweet thoughts for my sister :) SHE did so GREAT today!!! Her surgery was a HUGE success!! Well so far it is, hopefully no rejection of the new donor cornea, but per the doctor---highly unlikely it would happen, yay!!!!!!
So info:
-Her surgery was supposed to last 2-3 hours. She was out in 1 1/2 hours.
-In recovery for 6 hours. (she had a HARD time waking up, then had an asthma attack but was quickly relieved with meds)
-The donor was a 40 year old person. (she will eventually be contacted by LifeGift as to the donor)
-she received 2800 cells from the donor - which translates into near perfect vision! POSSIBLY no contacts! YAY!!!!
-she's recovering tonight at my oldest sister's house since she's closest to her surgeons' office and she has an appt. there in the morning. She did NOT have to stay in the hospital this time so 3rd time IS a charm! :)
-she got some GREAT pain meds so hopefully they'll get her through the night :)

SOOOO I just want to give you all HUGE hugs from me and my family. I truly believe all of your prayers and thoughts helped with today. I will be helping this week with her care until she feels she can do it herself...probably in a few days. Tomorrow I'm working on a little surprise for her. A little birdie told me she loved something I just did recently and I'm totally surprising her with something alot like it! :) She's going to be sooo excited!!
Pink Paislee is the Design Team sponsor for June at Create My Keepsake. I had SO MUCH FUN creating with the Spring Fling line. Here's what I did:

You have to go to the gallery to check out all the Pink Paislee inspiration! Such gorgeous work!

Enjoy your week and again...from the bottom of my pea pickin' heart...THANK YOU!!!!!!!

**Prayers & A Little Creation**

She is going to DIE when she finds out I posted her pic but I have to show you this pretty girl...

THIS is my sister Melinda. If you don't mind - could you please say a little prayer for her tomorrow? She's having surgery. Not your normal every day surgery. My sister is having a corneal transplant. Her 3rd to be exact. She had her first 2 (in both eyes) over 3 years ago. She's having to have a 3rd one in her right eye because the donor eye had a disease in it that wasn't detected until a few years into her transplant. It's called Fuch's Disease (click on the link and it will tell you all about it) and it's making her MISERABLE and is giving her such trouble that the only option is another transplant. SO tomorrow morning, bright and early at 7 am she goes in for her surgery. If all goes well - she gets to go home in the afternoon. The reason I say if all goes well - well during my sister's FIRST transplant over 3 years ago she collapsed after surgery, going into shock having to be revived What was supposed to be an outpatient procedure turned into a 7 day hospital stay. 3 months later - the next eye transplant. It was also supposed to be an outpatient procedure. During surgery she had an asthma attack. That turned into another 7 day hospital stay. Poor girl!! My prayer is that she has this surgery with NO complications and NO long hospital stay. Also that this surgery is a success and she gets the relief she so needs and deserves. She teaches high school and has had such a hard time this year with all her complications. My oldest sister and I are taking turns this week taking care of her, along with our parents, and helping her heal and get better. Thank you SO much for taking the time to read about my sweet sister. I just love her!!! :)
I sure hope you and all of the dad's in your life had a WONDERFUL Father's Day! My sweet hubby had a wonderful day and later we met my entire family for my nephew's choir performance and a Father's Day celebration afterwards. This is something I made for my dad - the BEST dad in the WORLD!! You should have SEEN him when he saw it. Sure made my day and made me feel SO SPECIAL!!!

Thanks for letting me share with you.
I hope you have an extra SUPER week this week :)
Hugs to all,

Word. My kids tell me I can't say that. "Mom, that is so uncool - don't use that." Sometimes I just love using words that I know they think is not "cool" just to see the looks on their faces. Priceless...totally priceless. Word.

Do you have a favorite word? Do you find yourself using it alot? Do you say one so much you don't even realize it but others are quick to point it out? Do you LOVE a word so much it's hard to NOT say it?

Our challenge for you this week at the Design X is all about words. It's my week and I decided to have a little fun and get creative with words. Now it's YOUR turn!
Here's the challenge:
"Words...we all have our favorites. What is YOUR favorite word and why? Does it have a particular meaning? Do you say it a thousand times a day?"

I challenge YOU to think of your word and go to town creating using it :)
If you post a link to your layout in the comment section of the Design X Blog you could win a RAK from ME! :) I put together a fun kit for the winner :)
Soo...go, have fun with words!

Here's my layout:

As you can word is "REALLY?" I use this word all of the time. It has to be said in the perfect tone - sarcastically. For instance...if a driver has pulled out in front of me, here goes "REALLY?" Or if someone says a joke I don't get and makes fun of me..."REALLY?" or someone one (not naming names) forgets to put the toilet paper back on the roll - "REALLY?" or my dogs are being goobs and won't pose for pics (LOL!) another.."Really?" That's my word. I love it. I use it alot. Maybe a little too much...

Have a supercalifragilisticexpealidocious sort of day!
(don't worry I don't use that word too much, hee hee)

[ohhh p.s! I wanted to say thank you so much for your sweet comments on my itty bitty studio!! I just love my space and enjoyed sharing it with all of you! So thank you again! :)]

**This little bitty space** what I call my scrap studio. This is MY space. No matter the's my space to be free. To create. This is me, welcome to my little studio. Come in anytime!!

Full view of my desk & "workstation" (my computer & printer station...hee hee!)

This is my bookcase full of fun things. Each drawer of this dresser is FULL of more goodies. Like my punches, stamps, paints, chipboard....

my desk with my big window (I LOVE that window!)

My desk closer....

My worstation. The cabinets with frosted glass hold more supplies - for instance my sewing machine I'm still freaked out to use! I need to get it out and go to town sewing..I know. :)

I just love this row of my jars :) See the shelves? MY sweet hubby made them for me!

While the buttons are so pretty & fun to look at, the shelves are my FAVE part. He did a GREAT job! Showing them off a little closer...

The BEST invention ever..hands down. THANK YOU Making Memories!

I store my paper here by manufacturer...easier for me that way :)

My new little basket with some embellishments :)

Umm how CUTE are these! These are teeny collanders from the Target $$ spot!

Thank you for taking a glimpse into what I call my little studio. I have half of our bedroom - this is MY half. My getaway! It's taken me a while to get it all together but it sure has paid off...
I LOVE my space!!

I'd love to see pics of YOUR space, link me UP!
Have a happy Day!
