*Another SweetHaven Layout + Winners!*

Hi friends, happy Sunday!
I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to get here yesterday and blog...
But I have winners!

First I want to share something.
I finished reading my sweet friend Courtney Walsh's book:
A Sweethaven Summer
& absolutely LOVED it. I was entranced from page one.
I couldn't put it down! Due to the fact that my family needed
food & the house needed to be cleaned & some assignments needed
to be finished...I had to for a few days. But picked it right back up
& finished one week. It's one of the most inspiring books.
It taught me about true love, true friendship, true life.
I adore you Courtney & thank you for having me dig deeper into
my life to realize what's important, what's true.

I made another layout for the Sweethaven challenge - this one is
about traditions:

These are my SWEET sweet friends from high school.
even though we've grown & moved on to lives of our own...
we still make it a tradition to get together for either a fun girls night or weekend.
This was a weekend get away to a hotel in Grapevine, Texas & all day shopping the next
day. We had such a great time! There's usually 2 more girls with us, but one
had to leave early & the other had to work - we sure missed them!

Friends are a gift. A treasure. An absolute joy given to us by God.
I want each one of my friends to know I'm your true. I'll be by you
through thick or thin. I'm always there. Love y'all!

Here's a little close up:

I can't wait for our next girls day!

And about some winners?
First up is the winning blog hop number from the American Crafts/Scor-pal hop:
and that is:

so Karenelr - please contact me:  leslieashe(at)gmail(dot)com & I'll get your winning pkg on it's way!

Thank you EVERYONE for your sweet words about my creations for both hops!
You made me smile great big.
I am truly grateful!

*Neapolitan is DELISH...*

Happy Wednesday!
Today I'm sharing a layout & card I made for American Crafts
using Dear Lizzy's Neapolitan. Oh man is this line
DELISH!!! I can't stop using it. I have to replenish my
stash soon, there's no way I can run out!

First up is this layout I did of my girl and her new fur girl, Lilly:
she was a mere 2.3 lbs when we picked her up at the Animal Shelter..
so tiny & new...

Here's a little card I whipped up too - I can't get enough of those little mason jars! YUM!

Here's some close ups so you can see some of the details:

Hope you're having a great week!
I'm off to mail some things that were picked up for publication - thank you Scrapbook Trends!

happy Wednesday!
let me leave you with a cute collage of Miss Lilly Pulitzer Ashe (who happens to
be doing GREAT after her "surgery". She doesn't even need a cone. That totally
impresses me. She did have a little "bulge" near her surgery site & I took her in
yesterday to see if that's normal - they said it's 2 things. 1) she's being TOO active
& 2) it's a reaction her body is having to the stitches on the inside. she's a champ!)
from yesterday:

in the first picture - i'm starting to see the "dachshund" in her!
(she's a chi/dachshund mix - they call them "chiweenies!")
and she's 4 months and 1 week! Have I mentioned yet she's become
MY dog? hahahaha-- don't tell Savannah....
(just so you know - there's a few days left in both blog hops below
so check them out if you'd like to win some super fun stuff!)

*My Treat!*

I know I know...
I suffer from a serious lack of blogging,
sorry everyone!
Life got in the way for a few days...
When the cute boy comes home from college
for Spring Break - everything STOPS.
Especially since I haven't seen him since early January!

I'm back I'm back - promise!
My blog will be seriously hopping starting Saturday
(you won't want to miss that hop!) and again on Monday (that one either!)
with another fun hop! Details coming very very, Saturday!

Today I have something fun to share with you.
I made some tiny little goodie bags - I call them "my treat!" {to you!}
they're just a little something I whipped up for Echo Park:

there's a full tutorial on the Echo Park Blog today -
so go check it out!  these little bags are so cute - they're 3.5”x2”x6.75” big.
I found them at Hobby Lobby. Believe it or not, there are some even smaller!
You can also make bigger one - even add ribbon or whatever
you want to your bags to make them yours.

So to see all the supplies & the full tutorial, visit the blog today!

Here's a few close ups:

Don't forget to come back Saturday for a fun fun FUN hop!

Until then - I'm off to think about our little fur-grand-girl as she's at the
vet having"the" surgery - she turned 4 months this week & the vet wanted to wait
until then because she's only 6 lbs.
How precious is SHE! Little Lilly (Pulitzer) Ashe:

See you Saturday...

*She's at the TOP of MY list*

hi friends.
thank you so much for the well wishes!
(and for liking my friendship layout!)

just a super quick update on me...
today I went to follow my ER visit up with my pulmonary doctor.
they didn't like that I was still "wheezing" and coughing.
SOOO more steroids (12 days worth, ew.) & cough medicine.
then continue the breathing treatments until I feel better.
whew...the end is drawing near - I see that well cloud in the horizon.

but - seriously, I'm tired of being sick & tired of talking about being sick
so let's get this blog post on the road & post more interesting stuff -
not sick stuff, ew.

Today I'm sharing an Echo Park expert post I did the other day...

(I promise, I do NOT call myself an expert - that's the name for each one of our DT members.
I still will never ever say..."hi, I'm an expert." because...well, I'm just NOT.)

I do however, hope to inspire anyone that I can...
You can see the FULL post right here:  Echo Park Sketch Inspiration

My assignment was to come up with a sketch -
then create my layout from that sketch. I'll admit. I worked a tad backwards...
here's my sketch:

and here's a couple of close ups of my layout:
and the layout itself:

and here's one more fun thing I have been dying to post about:

(for my FIRST time ever. I had a project in the SB ETC. April mag!)
here's what you'll see:

my cute little tiny flower pot I made for American Crafts!
thank you Scrapbooks made my day!

That's it for today!
Back soon. I'm off to put my feet up, breathe in my nebulizer and snooze a tad.
I've got a couple of American Crafts layouts to share with you, so I'll be right back!
